He's also a talented Carter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

History: He was born in the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Raer was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
