His father taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He struck the Bookbinder job and began his own company from there.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Berrian never married again.
