He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He got into the Sage business at a young age. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
