History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has never given up on his music dream.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
