Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Unemployed they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Guard, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. After a long history of fighting, Naeris and his spouse have recently divorced.
