His black hair is long and unkept. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Mindartis speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He was born in the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mindartis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mindartis. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Theren fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. Naal enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His hair is long and red with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. His eyes are likewise amber.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
