Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Theriatis hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Theriatis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Theriatis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
