History: Born to a Blacksmith, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Arannis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Arannis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Uthemar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Uthemar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
