History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Varis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Through the years after Gennal was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gennal's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
