History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mindartis grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born into a rich family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he is greedy

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Berrian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Berrian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. He has achieved small success as a Mortician.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and a rival would like him out of the picture
