History: He was born into a rich family. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Theriatis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Fortune-teller they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son.

Description: With brown face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized grey coat. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Ahvain hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his dancing career. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. One day when Ahvain was young, his mother was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly his mother dropped to the ground dead. His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Ahvain was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
