History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Theren grew up listening to his father's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. After a long history of fighting, Theren and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Born in the east to a Shoemaker, Berrian learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Berrian liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
