History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Rael was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Rael's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
