History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Heian was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His first spouse was a Miner, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and doesn't want to be a detective and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Varis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Theriatis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and sabotage a competitor
