He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the east were limited. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Aelar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Aelar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
