History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mindartis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Mindartis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
