Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He uses divination through singing.

History: Soveliss was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Description: He dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. His hair is long and chestnut with streaks of golden, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is golden, braided, and well cared for. His amber eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He is a Engraver first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.

Description: This man is very fat, and wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his crossbow with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. He has no hair. His blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Marshal who has hired him part-time. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Born to a Baker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Baker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he feels kind of lost in life
