History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is a Miner first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
