History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Herbalist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.
