History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: Theren was born the youngest of three triplets. When Theren reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He became a Carter soon after.

History: Born to a Fortune-teller, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mortician hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
