Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Varis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Varis decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Gifted from a young age, Theren studied abroad. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fletcher.
