History: Born in the south to a Seamstress, Arannis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Seamstress kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
