History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Varis grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Korfel was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Korfel decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned.
