History: Born to a Locksmith, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Raer was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ploughman for the past few years.
