He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Naal was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gifted student he started as a Bricklayer, but he got bored and became a Seamstress. He's also a talented Bricklayer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
