History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Laucian grew up listening to his father's many stories. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he's looking for his big break

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
