Varis took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Aelar has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. After a long history of fighting, Theriatis and his spouse have recently divorced.
