The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: Beiro was born the youngest of three triplets. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He is a Guard first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a Guard soon after.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Halimath and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Beiro hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
