History: Vanuath was born with his father's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Sailor but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Rael hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered dire rats who tried to eat his hand. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.
