History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sage responsibilities is difficult; and he has decided he is irredeemable
