History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. The war was a terrible time for him, and Aust does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aust fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.
