History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born in the east to a Bookbinder, Theren learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the east were limited. Being a Bookbinder kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
