Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Varis was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Soapmaker. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
