Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Gifted from a young age, Arannis studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Arannis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Theriatis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere.
