History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Architect and found it very stressful. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Through the years after Carrie was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Carrie's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.
