The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Peren took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up greataxe and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Gennal hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he wants revenge against orcs
