Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Varis abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Korfel was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
