Through the years after Halimath was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Halimath's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. At a young age his father died while driving off some giants. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in lance use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
