History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Knight. He struck the Knight job and began his own company from there.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and someone believes him a fraud

He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

He has a small bristly mustache and wavy blonde hair. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Hadarai's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Hadarai lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
