However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Raer was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Raer took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Fivin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Fivin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
