He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mason hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Erdan was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dyer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second daughter.
