History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theren. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Erdan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Erdan was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Erdan's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Mindartis was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Mindartis never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
