One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Aelar took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up club and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He got into the Cartwright business at a young age. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Cartwright for the past few years.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he's in love

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a masseuse and was forced into it by his family
