It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Nutae began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

History: Born to a Spy, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Performer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. His addictions have taken their toll on his wallet, and he has found himself with a great deal of debt owed.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions
