History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. A freak accident while working with his Banker father left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Varis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Naal hails from a village terrorized by drow. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he has money and likes to spend it
