History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Mindartis hails from a village terrorized by giants. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Adran took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor he uses now. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.
