He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
