History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Aust was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aust decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Efferil grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Efferil. He now mingles about in high society.
