History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Berrian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Berrian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many dire rats want him driven away

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He takes great joy in being the best Barrister in town.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of goblins

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Laucian hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Naeris grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Naeris. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
