History: Varis was born with his mother's beautiful face. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Varis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has worked as a Cartwright like his mother before him.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student he started as a Servant, but he got bored and became a Mercenary. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and expand his business

Personality: He is a Ruler first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ruler but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Ruler.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Elf, and stands approximately 4'7". He wears a white vest and prefers tan and brown shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down, and his gloved hand is found clutching a scythe. He wears his blonde hair up. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
